
Wednesday, September 17th, the Northeastern men’s hockey program welcomed a new player to the team: 11-year-old Mack. Mack, who lives with cerebral palsy, joins the Huskies through Team IMPACT, a nationwide nonprofit that matches children with serious illnesses or disabilities with college sports teams.

The young Needham resident was referred to the program by the Executive Director of the Bruins Foundation Bob Sweeney and is one of four children honored as Team IMPACT’s 4000th signing.

Players, coaches, and members of the media attended the ceremony at Matthews Arena Wednesday afternoon. Now an official member of the men’s hockey team, Mack will join the Huskies for games, practices, and events.
